This poster was created in collaboration with the Audre Lorde Project for Trans Day of Resilience in November 2015.
Its about how prisons and jails and borders and detention centers are linked to the gender binary system, and all these systems of control separate us from our bodies, spirits, communities and the earth. Its also about love and community between trans women and femmes of different generations and gender expressions. And about my obsession with the power of the belly and voguing femme hands.
